NWCC December Concert: Nature MorteNorthwest Chamber Chorus The Northwest Chamber Chorus wishes a warm welcome to our next Artistic Director Jeremy Edelstein. We hope you will join us for Jeremy's premiere this December. In the chill of winter, we present a simple "still life," or nature morte in French, of music whose language embodies that stillness. We view nature through a kaleidoscope in the exquisite miniatures of Paul Hindemith's Six chansons, in wonder through Ola Gjeilo's "Northern Lights," and with tired eyes in David Lang's "again (after eccelesiastes)." We meditate on death through Bach, and rebirth through Knut Nystedt's reimagining of his music. Other featured composers will include Judith Weir, Frank Ticheli, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Morten Lauridsen |
