Dolce Canto, an auditioned, mixed choir in Missoula, Montana, performing largely a cappella music from a wide range of genres, is seeking an experienced professional to contract as a part-time Artistic Director to begin in preparation for the Spring 2023 concert, preferably by December 1, 2022. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive background in choral conducting, repertoire, genres, and performance practices.

Dolce Canto performs a minimum of two concerts per season, with additional performance opportunities considered with agreement between the Artistic Director, Board of Directors, and choir members. A flexible rehearsal schedule is possible dependent on the availability and approval of choir members.

Compensation and Benefits: 

Salary will be negotiated for contracted services per fiscal year dependent on the number of concerts, rehearsal hours, and candidate’s qualifications and experience.
