Annual Meeting and Plenary Workshop - The Great Imagining: Envisioning and Manifesting an Antiracist Choral Field

Building on a shared understanding that songs are stories and choruses and singers are storytellers, this plenary workshop will explore the question: How can we envision and manifest antiracism in every aspect of our field, from repertoire to the way choral organizations are structured? Activist and arts advocate Karla Estela Rivera and consultant and educator Antonio C. Cuyler will guide us through envisioning a different pathway forward. Attendees will come away with tactical ideas to implement, questions to consider, and a sense of the joy that awaits us if we actualize an antiracist choral field.
