The 2019 Conference closes with a concert featuring two contrasting Philadelphia vocal ensembles, Choral Arts Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Heritage Chorale.

Presenting historically informed performances of early music, particularly inspired by J.S. Bach, as well as exploring modern music, Choral Arts Philadelphia is led by artistic director Matthew Glandorf. The ensemble performs Bach's cantata Chris lag in Todesbanden.

The Philadelphia Heritage Chorale, under the direction of artistic director Dr. J. Donald Dumpson, shares a broad range of music from the African diaspora and composers of African descent.
