José Meza is an arts administrator and artist from Los Angeles, California. With a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, he performs with multiple choirs in LA, gaining valuable insights into the profound impact of performing arts on people's lives. José’s mission is to explore and share this gift with as many people as possible. He has a Master of Arts in Music Industry Administration, with a keen interest in diversity and equity, systems and operations, partnerships, and artistic planning.
As the Education Programs Manager at Los Angeles Master Chorale, Meza manages the Oratorio Project, Voices Within, and Annual High School Choir Festival. Previously, he was the Program Director at Harmony Project overseeing the planning, operations, and community engagement of programs that provide free music classes and ensemble participation for thousands of youth in marginalized LA neighborhoods.
José also serves as the president of The Sunday Night Singers, a community chorus in Palmdale, California, that he helped establish as a non-profit organization. By creating a financial plan, building local partnerships, and helping guide the artistic vision of the group, he has made the arts more accessible to the Antelope Valley community.
José has overseen partnerships with several organizations, including the LA Philharmonic/YOLA, City of L.A. Department of Recreation & Parks, Beyond the Bell, Los Angeles Unified School District, City of Paramount, and City of Lancaster.
Jose has a true passion for the choral arts, and looks forward to growing his leadership skills though the Choral Executive Leadership Academy!
