Atlanta Master Chorale Hosts Inaugural Composition Competition

Atlanta Master Chorale (AMC) launched our inaugural choral composition competition this spring. The goal of the competition is to encourage aspiring composers to create new and exciting choral repertoire. We are seeking compositions which reflect our vision, “Where music touches spirit.”

The online portal is open for submissions, and the winning composer will receive a $2,500 prize. Compositions should be for SATB choir with piano accompanimnet and combine innovation, originality, imagination, and creativity. Applications are due August 1 and final submissions must be received by September 1.

Atlanta Master Chorale encourages composers of all ages, nationalities, education levels, races, genders, and backgrounds to apply.
