In this pre-recorded session, Conducting Academy faculty member David Hayes is joined by Grammy winning conductor JoAnn Falletta for an informal conversation about pursuing a career in choral-orchestral conducting. Falletta talks about the process behind the work that won her 2021 Grammy, shares stories from her own career, discusses the special role of the chorus master, shares advice for emerging conductors just getting started, and tips for beginning work with orchestras that are new to the conductor.
